The Fog Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHBH IJKJ LEEE EMEM

I saw the fog grow thickA
Which soon made blind my kenB
It made tall men of boysC
And giants of tall menB
-
It clutched my throat I coughedD
Nothing was in my headE
Except two heavy eyesF
Like balls of burning leadE
-
And when it grew so blackG
That I could know no placeH
I lost all judgment thenB
Of distance and of spaceH
-
The street lamps and the lightsI
Upon the halted carsJ
Could either be on earthK
Or be the heavenly starsJ
-
A man passed by me closeL
I asked my way he saidE
'Come follow me my friend'E
I followed where he ledE
-
He rapped the stones in frontE
'Trust me ' he said 'and come'M
I followed like a childE
A blind man led me homeM
