Laughing Rose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD AEFE GBHB

If I were gusty April nowA
How I would blow at laughing RoseB
I'd make her ribbons slip their knotsC
And all her hair come looseD
-
If I were merry April nowA
How I would pelt her cheeks with showersE
I'd make carnations rich and warmF
Of her vermillion flowersE
-
Since she will laugh in April's faceG
No matter how he rains or blowsB
Then O that I wild April wereH
To play with laughing RoseB
