Birds Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGF HAIA JKLK MNON

When our two souls have left this mortal clayA
And seeking mine you think that mine is lostB
Look for me first in that Elysian gladeC
Where Lesbia is for whom the birds sing mostD
-
What happy hearts those feathered mortals haveE
That sing so sweet when they're wet through in springF
For in that month of May when leaves are youngG
Birds dream of song and in their sleep they singF
-
And when the spring has gone and they are dumbH
Is it not fine to watch them at their playA
Is it not fine to see a bird that triesI
To stand upon the end of every sprayA
-
See how they tilt their pretty heads asideJ
When women make that move they always pleaseK
What cosy homes birds make in leafy wallsL
That Nature's love has ruined and the treesK
-
Oft have I seen in fields the little birdsM
Go in between a bullock's legs to eatN
But what gives me most joy is when I seeO
Snow on my doorstep printed by their feetN
