We Flash Across The Level Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHII JKLK

We flash across the levelA
We thunder thro' the bridgesB
We bicker down the cuttingsC
We sway along the ridgesB
-
A rush of streaming hedgesD
Of jostling lights and shadowsE
Of hurtling hurrying stationsF
Of racing woods and meadowsE
-
We charge the tunnels headlongG
The blackness roars and shattersH
We crash between embankmentsI
The open spins and scattersI
-
We shake off the miles like waterJ
We might carry a royal ransomK
And I think of her waiting waitingL
And long for a common hansomK
