To My Mother Iii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FDFD AGAG

O gather me the rose the roseA
While yet in flower we find itB
For summer smiles but summer goesA
And winter waits behind itB
-
For with the dream foregone foregoneC
The deed forborne for everD
The worm regret will canker onE
And Time will turn him neverD
-
So well it were to love my loveF
And cheat of any laughterD
The fate beneath us and aboveF
The dark before and afterD
-
The myrtle and the rose the roseA
The sunshine and the swallowG
The dream that comes the wish that goesA
The memories that followG
