Madam Life's A Piece In Bloom Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH

Madam Life's a piece in bloomA
Death goes dogging everywhereB
She's the tenant of the roomA
He's the ruffian on the stairB
-
You shall see her as a friendC
You shall bilk him once or twiceD
But he'll trap you in the endC
And he'll stick you for her priceD
-
With his kneebones at your chestE
And his knuckles in your throatF
You would reason plead protestE
Clutching at her petticoatF
-
But she's heard it all beforeG
Well she knows you've had your funH
Gingerly she gains the doorG
And your little job is doneH
