London Types - Vi. 'liza Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

'LIZA'S old man's perhaps a little shadyA
'LIZA'S old woman's prone to booze and cringeB
But 'LIZA deems herself a perfect ladyA
And proves it in her feathers and her fringeB
For 'LIZA has a bloke her heart to cheerC
With pearlies and a barrer and a jackD
So all the vegetables of the yearC
Are duly represented on her backD
Her boots are sacrifices to her hatsE
Which knock you speechless like a load of bricksF
Her summer velvets dazzle WANSTEAD FLATSE
And cost at times a good eighteen and sixF
Withal outside the gay and giddy whirlG
'LIZA'S a stupid straight hard working girlG
