Lady-probationer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDEEDFFGHIG

Some three or five or seven and thirty yearsA
A Roman nose a dimpling double chinB
Dark eyes and shy that ignorant of sinB
Are yet acquainted it would seem with tearsC
A comely shape a slim high coloured handD
Graced rather oddly with a signet ringE
A bashful air becoming everythingE
A well bred silence always at commandD
Her plain print gown prim cap and bright steel chainF
Look out of place on her and I remainF
Absorbed in her as in a pleasant mysteryG
Quick skilful quiet soft in speech and touchH
'Do you like nursing ' 'Yes Sir very much 'I
Somehow I rather think she has a historyG
