Interior Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFCG HIJK LFCF

The gaunt brown wallsA
Look infinite in their decent meannessB
There is nothing of home in the noisy kettleC
The fulsome fireD
-
The atmosphereE
Suggests the trail of a ghostly druggistF
Dressings and lint on the long lean tableC
Whom are they forG
-
The patients yawnH
Or lie as in training for shroud and coffinI
A nurse in the corridor scolds and wranglesJ
It's grim and strangeK
-
Far footfalls clankL
The bad burn waits with his head unbandagedF
My neighbour chokes in the clutch of chloralC
O a gruesome worldF
