After Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDECFGHIFE

Like as a flamelet blanketed in smokeA
So through the anaesthetic shows my lifeB
So flashes and so fades my thought at strifeB
With the strong stupor that I heave and chokeA
And sicken at it is so foully sweetC
Faces look strange from space and disappearD
Far voices sudden loud offend my earE
And hush as sudden Then my senses fleetC
All were a blank save for this dull new painF
That grinds my leg and foot and brokenlyG
Time and the place glimpse on to me againH
And unsurprised out of uncertaintyI
I wake relapsing somewhat faint and fainF
To an immense complacent dreameryE
