Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEAFGHIHJKLMNOPQ RSTUVWXYWWZA MYXA2B2CC2

A desolate shoreA
The sinister seduction of the MoonB
The menace of the irreclaimable SeaC
-
Flaunting tawdry and grimD
From cloud to cloud along her beatE
Leering her battered and inveterate leerA
She signals where he prowls in the dark aloneF
Her horrible old manG
Mumbling old oaths and warmingH
His villainous old bones with villainous talkI
The secrets of their grisly housekeepingH
Since they went out upon the padJ
In the first twilight of self conscious TimeK
Growling hideous and hoarseL
Tales of unnumbered ShipsM
Goodly and strong Companions of the AdvanceN
In some vile alley of the nightO
Waylaid and bludgeonedP
DeadQ
-
Deep cellared in primeval oozeR
Ruined dishonoured spoiledS
They lie where the lean water wormT
Crawls free of their secrets and their broken sidesU
Bulge with the slime of life Thus they abideV
Thus fouled and desecrateW
The summons of the Trumpet and the whileX
These Twain their murderersY
Unravined imperturbable unsubduedW
Hang at the heels of their children She aloftW
As in the shining streetsZ
He as in ambush at some accomplice doorA
-
The stalwart ShipsM
The beautiful and bold adventurersY
Stationed out yonder in the isleX
The tall PolicemanA2
Flashing his bull's eye as he peersB2
About him in the ancient vacancyC
Tells them this way is safety this way homeC2
