The Love Of God The End Of Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DDEF GGHH IJKK

Since life in sorrow must be spentA
So be it I am well contentA
And meekly wait my last removeB
Seeking only growth in loveC
-
No bliss I seek but to fulfilD
In life in death thy lovely willD
No succours in my woes I wantE
Save what thou art pleased to grantF
-
Our days are numbered let us spareG
Our anxious hearts a needless careG
'Tis thine to number out our daysH
Ours to give them to thy praiseH
-
Love is our only business hereI
Love simple constant and sincereJ
O blessed days thy servants seeK
Spent O Lord in pleasing theeK
