Isaiah ixA
-
Hear what God the Lord hath spokenB
O my people faint and fewC
Comfortless afflicted brokenB
Fair abodes I build for youC
Thorns of heartfelt tribulationB
Shall no more perplex your waysA
You shall name your walls SalvationB
And your gates shall all be PraiseA
-
There like streams that feed the gardenB
Pleasures without end shall flowD
For the Lord your faith rewardingE
All His bounty shall bestowD
Still in undisturb'd possessionB
Peace and righteousness shall reignF
Never shall you feel oppressionB
Hear the voice of war againG
-
Ye no more your suns descendingE
Waning moons no more shall seeA
But your griefs forever endingE
Find eternal noon in meA
God shall rise and shining o'er yeA
Change to day the gloom of nightH
He the Lord shall be your gloryA
God your everlasting lightH
