The Cause Won Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEEEEFFGG

Two neighbours furiously disputeA
A field the subject of the suitA
Trivial the spot yet such the rageB
With which the combatants engageB
'Twere hard to tell who covets mostC
The prize at whatsoever costD
The pleadings swell Words still sufficeE
No single word but has its priceE
No term but yields some fair pretenceE
For novel and increased expenseE
Defendant thus becomes a nameF
Which he that bore it may disclaimF
Since both in one description blendedG
Are plaintiffs when the suit is endedG
