Seeking The Beloved Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGI JKLK MNMN

To those who love the Lord I speakA
Is my Beloved nearB
The Bridegroom of my soul I seekA
Oh when will He appearB
-
Though once a man of grief and shameC
Yet now He fills a throneD
And bears the greatest sweetest nameC
That earth or heaven have knownD
-
Grace flies before and love attendsE
His steps wheree'er he goesF
Though none can see Him but His friendsE
And they were once his foesF
-
He speaks obedient to His callG
Our warm affections moveH
Did He but shine alike on allG
Then all alike would loveI
-
Then love in every heart would reignJ
And war would cease to roarK
And cruel and bloodthirsty menL
Would thirst for blood no moreK
-
Such Jesus is and such His graceM
Oh may He shine on youN
And tell him when you see His faceM
I long to see Him tooN
