Psalm Cxiv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHII

When the blest seed of Terah's faithful SonA
After long toil their liberty had wonA
And past from Pharian fields to Canaan LandB
Led by the strength of the Almighty's handB
Jehovah's wonders were in Israel shownC
His praise and glory was in Israel knownC
That saw the troubl'd Sea and shivering fledD
And sought to hide his froth becurled headD
Low in the earth Jordan's clear streams recoilE
As a faint host that hath receiv'd the foilE
The high huge bellied Mountains skip like RamsF
Amongst their Ewes the little Hills like LambsF
Why fled the Ocean And why skip'd the MountainsG
Why turned Jordan toward his Crystal FountainsG
Shake earth and at the presence be aghastH
Of him that ever was and ay shall lastH
That glassy floods from rugged rocks can crushI
And make soft rills from the fiery flint stones gushI
