Love Constrained To Obedience Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FBFB GHGH BIBJ BKBK

No strength of nature can sufficeA
To serve the Lord arightB
And what she has she misappliesC
For want of clearer lightB
-
How long beneath the law I layD
In bondage and distressE
I toll'd the precept to obeyD
But toil'd without successE
-
Then to abstain from outward sinF
Was more than I could doB
Now if I feel its power withinF
I feel I hate it tooB
-
Then all my servile works were doneG
A righteousness to raiseH
Now freely chosen in the SonG
I freely choose His waysH
-
What shall I do was then the wordB
That I may worthier growI
What shall I render to the LordB
Is my inquiry nowJ
-
To see the law by Christ fulfilledB
And hear His pardoning voiceK
Changes a slave into a childB
And duty into choiceK
