I Will Praise The Lord At All Times Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGHG IJIJ KLKL JMJM

Winter has a joy for meA
While the Saviour's charms I readB
Lowly meek from blemish freeA
In the snowdrop's pensive headB
-
Spring returns and brings alongC
Life invigorating sunsD
Hark the turtle's plaintive songC
Seems to speak His dying groansE
-
Summer has a thousand charmsF
All expressive of His worthG
'Tis His sun that lights and warmsH
His the air the cools the earthG
-
What has autumn left to sayI
Nothing of a Saviour's graceJ
Yes the beams of milder dayI
Tell me of his smiling faceJ
-
Light appears with early dawnK
While the sun makes haste to riseL
See His bleeding beauties drawnK
On the blushes of the skiesL
-
Evening with a silent paceJ
Slowly moving in the westM
Shews an emblem of His graceJ
Points to an eternal restM
