God Moves In A Mysterious Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIJI KLML NOLO

God moves in a mysterious wayA
His wonders to performB
He plants His footsteps in the seaC
And rides upon the stormB
-
Deep in unfathomable minesD
Of never failing skillE
He treasures up His bright designsD
And works His sovereign willE
-
Ye fearful saints fresh courage takeF
The clouds ye so much dreadG
Are big with mercy and shall breakF
In blessings on your headG
-
Judge not the Lord by feeble senseH
But trust Him for His graceI
Behind a frowning providenceJ
He hides a smiling faceI
-
His purposes will ripen fastK
Unfolding every hourL
The bud may have a bitter tasteM
But sweet will be the flowerL
-
Blind unbelief is sure to errN
And scan his work in vainO
God is His own interpreterL
And He will make it plainO
