By Callimachus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE

At morn we placed on his funeral bierA
Young Melanippus and at eventideB
Unable to sustain a loss so dearC
By her own hand his blooming sister diedB
Thus Aristippus mourn'd his noble raceD
Annihilated by a double blowE
Nor son could hope nor daughter more to embraceD
And all Cyrene sadden'd at his woeE

William Cowper
