An Apology For Not Showing Her What I Had Wrote Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAAAACCDDEEFFGGHH

Did not my Muse what can she lessA
Perceive her own unworthinessA
Could she by some well chosen themeB
But hope to merit your esteemB
She would not thus conceal her laysA
Ambitious to deserve your praiseA
But should my Delia take offenceA
And frown on her impertinenceA
In silence sorrowing and forlornC
Would the despairing trifler mournC
Curse her ill tuned unpleasing luteD
Then sigh and sit for ever muteD
In secret therefore let her playE
Squandering her idle notes awayE
In secret as she chants alongF
Cheerful and careless in her songF
Nor heeds she whether harsh or clearG
Free from each terror every fearG
From that of all most dreaded freeH
The terror of offending theeH
