The house is fair yet all is desolate | C |
Because our Father comes not clouds of fate | A |
Sadden above us shivering we espy | D |
The passing rain the cloud before the gate | A |
And cry to one another He is nigh | B |
At early morning with a shining Face | E |
He left us innocent and lily crown d | D |
And now this late night cometh on apace | E |
We hold each other s hands and look around | F |
Frighted at our own shades Heaven send us grace | E |
When He returns all will be sleeping sound | F |
