Buxom Joan Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABCCAAB AAAADAAEEF FFAAGAAAAG

A soldier and a sailorA
A tinker and a tailorA
Had once a doubtful strife sirA
To make a maid a wife sirA
Whose name was Buxom JoanB
For now the time was endedC
When she no more intendedC
To lick her lips at men sirA
And gnaw the sheets in vain sirA
And lie o' nights aloneB
-
The soldier swore like thunderA
He loved her more than plunderA
And showed her many a scar sirA
That he had brought from far sirA
With fighting for her sakeD
The tailor thought to please herA
With offering her his measureA
The tinker too with mettleE
Said he could mend her kettleE
And stop up every leakF
-
But while these three were pratingF
The sailor slily waitingF
Thought if it came about sirA
That they should all fall out sirA
He then might play his partG
And just e'en as he meant sirA
To loggerheads they went sirA
And then he let fly at herA
A shot 'twixt wind and waterA
That won this fair maid's heartG
