Ode Written In The Beginning Of The Year 1746 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFF

How sleep the brave who sink to restA
By all their country's wishes blestA
When Spring with dewy fingers coldB
Returns to deck their hallowed mouldB
She there shall dress a sweeter sodC
Than Fancy's feet have ever trodC
By fairy hands their knell is rungD
By forms unseen their dirge is sungD
There Honour comes a pilgrim greyE
To bless the turf that wraps their clayE
And Freedom shall awhile repairF
To dwell a weeping hermit thereF
