Antistrophe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFEEGGHHEE IIJJKK

Thou who such weary Length hast pastA
Where wilt thou rest mad Nymph at lastA
Say wilt thou shroud in haunted CellB
Where gloomy Rape and Murder dwellB
Or in some hollow'd SeatC
'Gainst which the big Waves beatC
Hear drowning Sea men's Cries in Tempests broughtD
Dark Pow'r with shudd'ring meek submitted ThoughtD
Be mine to read the Visions oldE
Which thy awak'ning Bards have toldE
And lest thou meet my blasted ViewF
Hold each strange Tale devoutly trueF
Ne'er be I found by Thee o'eraw'dE
In that thrice hallow'd Eve abroadE
When Ghosts as Cottage Maids believeG
Their pebbled Beds permitted leaveG
And Gobblins haunt from Fire or FenH
Or Mine or Flood the Walks of MenH
O Thou whose Spirit most possestE
The sacred Seat of Shakespear's BreastE
By all that from thy Prophet brokeI
In thy Divine Emotions spokeI
Hither again thy Fury dealJ
Teach me but once like Him to feelJ
His Cypress Wreath my Meed decreeK
And I O Fear will dwell with TheeK
