Visions - Sonnet - 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

A rose as fair as ever saw the NorthA
Grew in a little garden all aloneB
A sweeter flower did Nature ne'er put forthA
Nor fairer garden yet was never knownB
The maidens danc'd about it morn and noonC
And learned bards of it their ditties madeD
The nimble fairies by the pale faced moonC
Water'd the root and kiss'd her pretty shadeD
But well a day the gard'ner careless grewE
The maids and fairies both were kept awayF
And in a drought the caterpillars threwE
Themselves upon the bud and every sprayF
God shield the stock if heaven send no suppliesG
The fairest blossom of the garden diesG
