Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABABA C

Autumn it was when droop'd the sweetest flow'rsA
And rivers swoll'n with pride o'erlook'd the banksA
Poor grew the day of summer's golden hoursA
And void of sap stood Ida's cedar ranksA
The pleasant meadows sadly layB
In chill and cooling sweatsA
By rising fountains or as theyB
Fear'd winter's wastfull threatsA
-
The Shepherd's PipeC
