To The Evening Star Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHGIJKLM

Thou fair haired angel of the eveningA
Now whilst the sun rests on the mountains lightB
Thy bright torch of love thy radiant crownC
Put on and smile upon our evening bedD
Smile on our loves and while thou drawest theE
Blue curtains of the sky scatter thy silver dewF
On every flower that shuts its sweet eyesG
In timely sleep Let thy west wing sleep onH
The lake speak silence with thy glimmering eyesG
And wash the dusk with silver Soon full soonI
Dost thou withdraw then the wolf rages wideJ
And the lion glares through the dun forestK
The fleeces of our flocks are covered withL
Thy sacred dew protect with them with thine influenceM
