The Garden Of Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEAE FGHI

I went to the Garden of LoveA
And saw what I never had seenB
A Chapel was built in the midstC
Where I used to play on the greenB
-
And the gates of this Chapel were shutD
And Thou shalt not writ over the doorE
So I turn'd to the Garden of LoveA
That so many sweet flowers boreE
-
And I saw it was filled with gravesF
And tomb stones where flowers should beG
And priests in black gowns were walking their roundsH
And binding with briars my joys amp desiresI
