A Dream Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DDCC EEFF GHII JJKL

Once a dream did weave a shadeA
O'er my Angel guarded bedB
That an Emmet lost it's wayC
Where on grass methought I layC
-
Troubled wildered and forlornD
Dark benighted travel wornD
Over many a tangled sprayC
All heart broke I heard her sayC
-
O my children do they cryE
Do they hear their father sighE
Now they look abroad to seeF
Now return and weep for meF
-
Pitying I dropp'd a tearG
But I saw a glow worm nearH
Who replied What wailing wightI
Calls the watchman of the nightI
-
I am set to light the groundJ
While the beetle goes his roundJ
Follow now the beetles humK
Little wanderer hie thee homeL
