Mater Dolorosa Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCB DEDEAAAE CFCFGGG

I'd a dream to nightA
As I fell asleepB
O the touching sightA
Makes me still to weepB
Of my little ladC
Gone to leave me sadC
Ay the child I hadC
But was not to keepB
-
As in heaven highD
I my child did seekE
There in train came byD
Children fair and meekE
Each in lily whiteA
With a lamp alightA
Each was clear to sightA
But they did not speakE
-
Then a little sadC
Came my child in turnF
But the lamp he hadC
O it did not burnF
He to clear my doubtG
Said half turn'd aboutG
'Your tears put it outG
Mother never mourn '-
