With Eternity Standing By Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCADDAEA FGGGFHHFHF IJJJKLLIMK ABCCANNANA

How shall I bid you good byeA
Dear without tearsB
Only once in the yearsC
The idle vanishing yearsC
We met with Eternity standing byA
And loved a little forgotten spaceD
I for the sake of your beautiful faceD
You I hardly know how or whyA
Or whether you loved me indeed alasE
With Eternity standing byA
-
We played our comedy partsF
Scene after sceneG
You were to be my queenG
My dear sweet comedy queenG
I your lover and knave of heartsF
Who kissed your hand in the make believeH
And looked for the bee in your royal sleeveH
And stopped because of the pain that smartsF
The pangs that soften the sighs that grieveH
And the rest of the tragic partsF
-
We did not know that we lovedI
Not at the first of itJ
That ah that was the worst of itJ
The aching sorrowful worst of itJ
Not till I saw that your soul was movedK
At the sound of my voice as in tears I readL
Of Guinevere and the days long deadL
And the knights and ladies who lived and lovedI
And went to their graves and were harvestedM
Then ah then it was provedK
-
So I dare not bid you good byeA
Dear without tearsB
Things there are in the yearsC
The coming ominous yearsC
All too sad for us not to cryA
Other joys shall forgotten beN
But not the pilgrimage made with meN
The Severn's flood and the angry skyA
And the love we talked of which could not beN
With Eternity standing byA
