Red, Red Gold Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG

Red red gold a kingdom's ransom childA
To weave thy yellow hair she bade them spinB
At early dawn the gossamer spiders toiledC
And wove the sunrise inB
-
She took the treasures of the deep blue noonD
She took the clear eyes of the morning starE
The pale faced lilies of a seven days moonD
The dust of Phoebus' carE
-
She painted thee with dewdrops from the flowersF
Stained with their petals hyacinth and roseG
And violets all wet with April showersF
And snowdrops from the snowsG
