Oh For A Day Of Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GCGCHH

Oh for a day of SpringA
A day of flowers and follyB
Of birds that pipe and singA
And boyhood's melancholyB
I would not grudge the laughterC
The tears that followed afterC
-
Oh for a day of youthD
A day of strength and passionE
Of words that told the truthD
And deeds the truth would fashionE
I would not leave untastedF
One glory while it lastedF
-
Oh for a day of daysG
A day with you and pleasureC
Of love in all its waysG
And life in all its measureC
Win me that day from sorrowH
And let me die to morrowH
