Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFHIJ

But when the church was hushed in the night windA
And all were gone who might his zeal disclaimB
Or hinder the firm purpose of his mindA
A silent man among the tombs he cameB
Stooping to listen if so be some soundC
Of living thing with speech or power to breatheD
Should issuant be from the dark undergroundC
And last to hers There on that home of deathE
He kneeled him down and called aloud to herF
Natalia O Natalia my belovedG
Am I not here thy soul's petitionerF
Whom thou so lovedst '' And around him movedH
The phantoms of the night And the wind's sighI
Answered his prayer Beloved it is I ''J
