Natalia-s Resurrection: Sonnet Xvi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEGHIJIKKAmong the rest 'twas thus his dream went on | A |
While Adrian slept in more than courteous mood | B |
And smiling welcome fairer scarce was none | C |
That noble knight Natalia's husband stood | D |
A gentle man whom of a truth in life | E |
Alas for jealous youth and wit too keen | F |
Adrian loved little though he loved his wife | E |
But now beheld as the most blest of men | G |
Because Natalia was not dead he thought | H |
Seeing him thus unconscious of all grief | I |
And in that cloudless face where pain was not | J |
Adrian found omen to his soul's relief | I |
And looked beyond if haply he should see | K |
Her face too following fixed in constancy | K |
