Esther, A Sonnet Sequence: Xxxviii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDAEFGFGHI

I do not doubt it You have a look of truthA
Which is beyond suspicion But the worldB
Is as full of knaves as fools You have your youthA
And I my wisdom Then your head is curledB
Just as I like it and your face is smoothC
And it can blush like your red innocent handsD
I saw it in an instant in the boothA
That we should know each other and be friendsE
It does not do to question Look at meF
I am not pretty yet the world's best senseG
Has raved about my beauty foolishlyF
These five years past in every mood and tenseG
Say Would you like we should be friends for good ''H
Not knowing what I said I said I wouldI
