Esther, A Sonnet Sequence: Xlvii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGHGII

Sublime discussions Let who will be wiseA
These are the things that touch us and transcendB
The logic of all beauty is surpriseA
The reason of all love the unseen endB
Still as they argued on of this and thatC
Turning perchance to me as arbiterD
Where in my corner I still speechless satC
To end their strife my vision seemed to clearE
The scales fell from my eyes of ignoranceF
The terror from my heart One thing aloneG
Stood plain before me the supreme fair chanceH
Of a first fortune glorious and unknownG
Which beckoned me with no uncertain handI
To touch and taste and learn and understandI
