Esther, A Sonnet Sequence: Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBBDBDEFEFGH

Yes who shall tell the value of our tearsA
Whether we wept aright or idly grievedB
There is a tragedy in unloved yearsC
And in those passionate hours by love deceivedB
In lips unkissed and hopes too soon bereavedB
And youth's high courage which no strength could saveD
And manhood's web of fate by folly weavedB
And grey haired grief brought down into the graveD
Who shall distinguish truly and be wiseE
'Twixt grief and grief 'twixt night and night The sunF
Has its own sorrow and a voice that criesE
Louder than darkness of its joys undoneF
And pleads with that exceeding bitter cryG
I have tasted honey and behold I die ''H
