A New Pilgrimage: Sonnet Xx Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACCDEDFGFHII

Enough dear Paris We have laughed togetherA
'Tis time that we should part lest tears should comeB
I must fare on from winter and rough weatherA
And the dark tempests chained within Time's wombC
Southwards I go Each footstep marks the tombC
Of a dead pleasure Melun FontainebleauD
How shall I name them with the ghosts that roamE
In their deserted streets of long agoD
I will not stop to weep Before me lieF
Lands larger in their purpose and with dreamsG
Peopled more purely and to these I flyF
For ever from life's idler stratagemsH
France thy white hand I kiss in suppliant guiseI
Too sad to love thee and alas too wiseI
