Tanzweise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBC DEDEFGF HFHFIJIJ

'Lady ' I said 'this garland wearA
For thou wilt wear it gracefullyB
And on thy brow 'twill sit so fairA
And thou wilt dance so light and freeB
Had I a thousand gems on theeB
Fair one their brilliant light should shineC
Would'st thou such a gift accept from meB
O doubt me not it should be thineC
-
'Lady so beautiful thou artD
That I on thee the wreath bestowE
'Tis the best gift I can impartD
But whiter rosier flowers I knowE
Upon the distant plain they're springingF
Where beauteously their heads they rearG
And birds their sweetest songs are singingF
Come let us go and pluck them there '-
-
She took the beauteous wreath I choseH
And like a child at praises glowingF
Her cheeks blushed crimson as the roseH
When by the snow white lily growingF
But all from those bright eyes eclipseI
Received and then my toil to payJ
Kind precious words fell from her lipsI
What more than this I shall not sayJ
