Why Sit'st Thou By That Ruin'd Hall? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EBEB FGFG

Why sit'st thou by that ruin'd hallA
Thou aged carle so stern and greyB
Dost thou its former pride recallA
Or ponder how it pass'd awayB
-
Know'st thou not me the Deep Voice criedC
So long enjoy'd so oft misusedD
Alternate in thy fickle prideC
Desired neglected and accusedD
-
Before my breath like blazing flaxE
Man and his marvels pass awayB
And changing empires wane and waxE
Are founded flourish and decayB
-
Redeem mine hours the space is briefF
While in my glass the sand grains shiverG
And measureless thy joy or griefF
When Time and thou shalt part for everG
