Breathes There The Man... From The Lay Of The Last Minstrel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDDEEFFGGHH

Breathes there the man with soul so deadA
Who never to himself hath saidA
This is my own my native landB
Whose heart hath ne'er within him burnedC
As home his footsteps he hath turnedC
From wandering on a foreign strandB
If such there breathe go mark him wellD
For him no Minstrel raptures swellD
High though his titles proud his nameE
Boundless his wealth as wish can claimE
Despite those titles power and pelfF
The wretch concentred all in selfF
Living shall forfeit fair renownG
And doubly dying shall go downG
To the vile dust from whence he sprungH
Unwept unhonoured and unsungH
