Sonnet. Datur Hora Quieti. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACACADEDEDE

The sun is slowly sinking in the WestA
The plough lies idle and the weary teamB
Cool'd with the freshness of the shallow streamB
Over the meadows hasten to their restA
The breeze is hush'd and no more turns the millC
With its light sails upon yon rising crestA
Its busy music now awhile is stillC
And not a sound heaves up from Nature's breastA
The barks upon the river smoothly rideD
With sails all furl'd and flags that listless fallE
Unrock'd unshaken by the flowing tideD
The cattle lazy lie within the stallE
And thus the Time stream on doth sweetly glideD
Bearing repose and slumber unto allE
