Wandering At Morn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHI FEJEEKBL

WANDERING at mornA
Emerging from the night from gloomy thoughts thee in my thoughtsB
Yearning for thee harmonious Union thee Singing Bird divineC
Thee seated coil'd in evil times my Country with craft and blackD
dismay with every meanness treason thrust upon theeE
Wandering this common marvel I beheld the parent thrush IF
watch'd feeding its youngG
The singing thrush whose tones of joy and faith ecstaticH
Fail not to certify and cheer my soulI
-
There ponder'd felt IF
If worms snakes loathsome grubs may to sweet spiritual songs beE
turn'dJ
If vermin so transposed so used so bless'd may beE
Then may I trust in you your fortunes days my countryE
Who knows that these may be the lessons fit for youK
From these your future Song may rise with joyous trillsB
Destin'd to fill the worldL
