The Dalliance Of The Eagles Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEFEGE

Skirting the river road my forenoon walk my restA
Skyward in air a sudden muffled sound the dalliance of the eaglesB
The rushing amorous contact high in space togetherC
The clinching interlocking claws a living fierce gyrating wheelD
Four beating wings two beaks a swirling mass tight grapplingE
In tumbling turning clustering loops straight downward fallingE
'Till o'er the river pois'd the twain yet one a moment's lullF
A motionless still balance in the air then parting talons loosingE
Upward again on slow firm pinions slanting their separate diverse flightG
She hers he his pursuingE
