On Journeys Through The States Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFG HFIIJCKLMN

ON journeys through the States we startA
Ay through the world urged by these songsB
Sailing henceforth to every land to every seaC
We willing learners of all teachers of all and lovers of allD
-
We have watch'd the seasons dispensing themselves and passing onE
We have said Why should not a man or woman do as much as theF
seasons and effuse as muchG
-
We dwell a while in every city and townH
We pass through Kanada the north east the vast valley of theF
Mississippi and the Southern StatesI
We confer on equal terms with each of The StatesI
We make trial of ourselves and invite men and women to hearJ
We say to ourselves Remember fear not be candid promulge the bodyC
and the SoulK
Dwell a while and pass on Be copious temperate chaste magneticL
And what you effuse may then return as the seasons returnM
And may be just as much as the seasonsN
