City Of Orgies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFDGHIJKLEE

CITY of orgies walks and joysA
City whom that I have lived and sung in your midst will one day makeB
you illustriousC
Not the pageants of you not your shifting tableaux your spectaclesD
repay meE
Not the interminable rows of your houses nor the ships at theF
wharvesD
Nor the processions in the streets nor the bright windows withG
goods in themH
Nor to converse with learn'd persons or bear my share in the soireeI
or feastJ
Not those but as I pass O Manhattan your frequent and swift flashK
of eyes offering me loveL
Offering response to my own these repay meE
Lovers continual lovers only repay meE
