A tremor a quiverA
Through her ranB
As over the riverA
The dawn beganB
She drew her veilC
Over her eyesD
And her face grew paleC
As she watched the sun riseD
She faded turnedE
To a ghost was goneF
As the morning burnedE
And the day came onG
With veiled sad eyeH
And face still wanG
She waited nighH
When the dusk beganB
With her tears of blissI
The earth was wetJ
And soothed with her kissI
When the sun had setJ
And with stately prideK
She sat on the throneL
Of her empire wideK
When the day had goneF
And her robes she spreadM
With their sable hemN
And crowned her headM
With her diademN
And the mute earth sawO
That a Queen was sheP
And gazed with aweQ
On her majestyP
