The Exclusion Of Asiatics Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAABBA DEFDEF

Is our renown'd Dominion then so smallA
As not to hold this new inhabitantB
Or are her means so pitiably scantC
As not to yield a livelihood to allA
Or are we lesser men foredoom'd to thrallA
Or so much better than the immigrantB
That we should make our hearts as adamantB
And guard against defilement with a wallA
-
Nay but our land is large and rich enoughD
For us and ours and millions more her needE
Is working men she cries to let them inF
Nor can we fear our race is not the stuffD
Servants are made of but a royal seedE
And Christian owning all mankind as kinF
